Math Challenges and Reader's Theatre!

We used the letters from Punxsutawney Phil to
create equations. How much is your word worth?

We researched Adelie penguins on Pebble Go.
We shared our discoveries and wonders with our classmates.

We played games called Old Orca Subtraction and Help, A Skua!
We worked on subtraction and understanding base ten/ones.
Don't end up with the orca or skua! It is like Old Maid!

We solved our Twitter Math Challenges and shared our thinking process with the class.
We are working on the process, not the product!

We began our Reader's Theatre today!
The kids were so excited to read their parts.
We worked on reading with fluency and expression.

We learned some new math games where students had to find different ways to make 10 with a dice and number tiles.
If the number you need is taken, can you use one of your tiles
and your partner's tiles to make 10?

We practiced counting on as we add numbers greater than 11.
We are working on accuracy and becoming more automatic.
