We welcomed a Flat Stanley from Ontario, Canada to our classroom!
We are sharing what we are learning here in First Grade at Kipling!
Here we are using Explain Everything to document our learning for a math activity.
We played a memory game with the suffixes -ly and -ful.
Flat Stanley even visited Team Read!
Lunchtime!
We are learning some new strategies to help us when we read an unknown word.
The students are writing down the unknown words and searching for the meaning to help expand our vocabulary.
We worked on Scratch Jr. to create a growing pattern code!
Future Computer Programmers!
Make sure to check out your child's coding on Scratch Jr.
We read an article about Light and wrote about our learning in our journals.
The students had a lot to write about today as we wrote about our learning from March!
We are becoming better writers by adding details, remembering the basics (capitals, punctuation, and spacing), and learning how to check our work.
