We are learning how to compare and contrast different pieces of text.
Today we compared the original Cinderella by Marcia Brown
to The Irish Cinderlad by Shirley Climo.
Our class was busy and engaged during our math rotations!
We explored a new geometry app called "Pattern Blocks."
Students could create their own pictures using geometric shapes or fill in
the black shape using the geometric shapes.
We used our spatial and visual discrimination to fill in the
pattern block cards with the correct shapes.
Some friends took it a step further by creating the picture
on the table.
We learned how to play a strategy geometric game
called "Last Shape Wins!"
Reader's Theatre!
The class did a fantastic job reading fluently, with expression, and with good pausing.
Way to go, class!
